Tips For Avoiding Seasickness
Don’t drink liquor excessively the night before departing.Be careful to avoid greasy foods. The first sign of seasickness is indigestion and it often never gets past that point.Drink Coke or Pepsi. These two drinks help reduce the chances of getting sick because they contain phosphoric acid, Stay up on deck where the air is fresh and you can see the horizon. If you have a choice of berths, don’t choose one in the forward cabin. There is less pitching motion in the center of the boat and the quietest berth from the point of view of movement is often the quarter-berth, if there is one.Sleep on your back. This seems to support the stomach better from bouncing around, thoughKeep busy on deck. Have your ears cleaned before a long race or cruise. Be in good physical condition. It reduces your chances of becoming seasick and also reduces its debilitating effects on you if you do.

Where is some of the best snorkeling Phuket has? Dive in at Coral Island, Long Beach and Banana Beach Koh Hey

Coral island is all about snorkeling in Phuket. It’s surrounded by vibrant coral reefs that provide a home to thousands of colourful tropical fish in warm and clear waters. The sheltered location of Banana Beach makes it an especially ideal jumping-off spot. Lather on some sunscreen, grab your mask and snorkel, and dive right in! You're not restricted to snorkeling. Coral Island also affords the chance to try some of the region’s most popular water activities such as scuba diving and water walking, a relatively new method of underwater discovery. The team on Banana Beach will help you don weights and what looks like a clear plastic globe over your head. Attached to an air tube, you simply walk into the water from the beach. Non-divers can easily and safely discover the delightful undersea world, without any training. If that’s not your cup of tea, there are also the more traditional but equally thrilling Coral Island activities of parasailing and banana- boat rides – perfect for an adrenaline rush over sparkling azure seas. You can also take a short hike up over a hill behind Banana Beach to a smaller but equally picturesque cove to temporarily enjoy solitude.Truth be told, the beauty of Coral Island lies mainly in the calm and colourful waters waiting for you just off Banana Beach. There’s no better place to go snorkeling in Phuket. Spend a glorious half-day with the wondrous creatures of the reefs – the perfect reminder to take time out and just enjoy the beauty of the moment.
