Your day adventure will be at the Chiang Mai Zoo. Established by the Zoological Park Organization of Thailand in 1974 and situated on 531 Rai of verdant forest land at the foothill of Doi Suthep Mountain. Great for nature and animal lovers, the zoo is surrounded by hilly terrain which is home to thousands of species of wild plants and flowers adorning the natural landscape of valleys, streams, and waterfalls.
Chiang Mai Zoo is the first and only zoo in Northern Thailand where visitors can experience the excitement and intimacy of various species of animals in their natural habitat.
Nakornping Aviary- guests can walk and observe more than 800 birds in 2.5 acres.
Cape Fur Seal Exhibit - The building have 4 Cape Fur Seal from Africa to present in the zoo.
Freshwater Aquarium 60 species of tropical freshwater fish, featuring Giant Mekhong Catfish and Striped Catfish, Siamese Giant Carp, Ture Eel, and many more.
Star Animals are Elephants, Hippopotamus, Zebras, Giraffes, Ostriches, Cape Fur Seals, Humboltd Penguins, Malayan Tapirs, Serrows, Cranes, Deer and Indian rhinoceros and many more.
Gibbon Island - Gibbons live freely on this isle without nets, caging or enclosure, and live and breed happily.
Open Zoo -More than 200 animals live with peacefully in the area 40 acres. You can walk through the Open Zoo on the sky walkway and get up close and personal to the animals.
Camping Area - The children can camp near the big reservoir, waterfall, adventure station, the natural trail and learning the animal's life at night.
